1 Killed in Amarillo Motorcycle Accident at FM 1151 and South Loop 335

Amarillo, TX. - A motorcyclist was killed in a high-speed crash on Wednesday morning in Amarillo.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, the accident occurred near FM 1151 and South Loop 335 at around 10:55 a.m.

A man was riding a 2026 Yamaha YZF northbound on FM 1151 at a high rate of speed when he struck a Freightliner tractor-trailer traveling southbound on FM 1151.

The truck was attempting to turn left onto South Loop 335 when the crash occurred.

The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was rushed to Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital, where he later died.

More details on the accident were not available.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
