1 Injured in San Antonio Crash on I-35 North and Northeast Loop 410

San Antonio, TX. - An officer was injured in a chain reaction crash on Saturday morning in San Antonio.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the accident happened on I-35 North at Northeast Loop 410 at around 2:26 a.m.

Officers were responding to another crash when a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old man slammed into the back of a patrol vehicle. The impact triggered a chain-reaction collision involving multiple vehicles.

The officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 41-year-old man was evaluated for possible intoxication.

SAPD is investigating the crash.
