1 Killed in Starr County Wrong-Way Crash on North FM 755 and FM 1017

Starr County, TX. – One person was killed in a wrong-way crash involving two pickup trucks on Friday afternoon near La Gloria in Starr County.

According to the Starr County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred on North FM 755 and FM 1017 at around 1:40 p.m.

A gray Dodge 1500 was traveling southbound when it drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a silver Dodge Ram towing a trailer. The Dodge Ram reportedly swerved to avoid the collision but struck the pickup truck.

A passenger in the Dodge 1500 died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge 1500 was taken to McAllen Medical Center with minor injuries.

More details on the crash were not disclosed.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
