Gabino Carranza Killed in Bridge City Crash at State Highway 87 and State Highway 62
Bridge City, TX. - 67-year-old Gabino Carranza has been identified as the man who died in a car crash on Thursday morning in Bridge City.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 87 and State Highway 62 around 5:30 a.m.
A 2020 Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound when it drove through the intersection, entered a private driveway and crashed into a parked 2019 Dodge Caravan.
The impact of the collision pushed the Dodge into a home.
Carranza was inside the Dodge and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Ford was not injured.
Carranza’s 61-year-old wife was inside the home and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional details concerning the collision were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
