Stranded Motorist Struck, Killed by Vehicle on I-35W in Fort Worth

Woman Killed in North Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident on North Freeway (I-35W) Tollway

Fort Worth, Texas (April 20, 2020) – According to a local news source, a stranded motorist was fatally hit by a passing vehicle Sunday evening in North Fort Worth.

The accident was reported just before 6:30 p.m. April 19, in the 4900 block of North Freeway Tollway(Interstate 35 W) near Basswood.

Police said a stranded motorist was struck by a passing vehicle in the southbound lanes of the freeway.

The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating the accident.
