DPS Trooper Randall Noe Injured in Angelina County Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 94 near Lufkin

Angelina County, Texas (May 11, 2020) – A DPS trooper was struck by a vehicle Saturday evening in Angelina County, just west of Lufkin, according to a DPS report.

The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. May 9, on State Highway 94.

According to the report, the trooper, Randall Noe, 45, of Lufkin, was outside of his marked patrol vehicle, with emergency lights activated, during a traffic stop when he was struck by a vehicle which was traveling at a reduced speed.

The driver, 51-year-old Dale Levy Jr., of Lufkin, stayed at the scene after the accident. He was uninjured.

Noe was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Lufkin with non-life threatening injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
