Rider Dies in Midland County Crash at Highway 80 and South County Road 1250

Midland County, Texas (July 18, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was critically injured Tuesday morning in a collision with an 18-wheeler in Midland County has died, authorities said.

The tragic wreck happened at Highway 80 and South County Road 1250 Tuesday, July 16.

According to the authorities, the motorcyclist was attempting to avoid striking the 18-wheeler and ended up sliding it.

The rider sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night.

The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The crash remains under investigation.
