Karen Fleeman Killed, and Terrell Fleeman Injured in Port O’Connor Two-Vehicle Crash at Adams Avenue and 16th Street

Port O’Connor, Texas (July 3, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Port O’Connor, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened around 6:00 p.m., July 1, at the intersection of Adams Avenue and 16th Street.

DPS said Terrell Lee Fleeman, 65, of Bloomington, was driving a 2019 Polaris Ranger XP 1000, which is a type of golf cart vehicle, while Kyle Gordon Ganezle, 32, of Moulton, was driving a Kia Sorento. Terrell had come to a stop at a stop sign, failed to yield the right of way, entered the intersection, and was struck on the passenger’s side by the Sorento. 

Terrell and their passenger, Karen Logan Fleeman, also from Bloomington, were ejected from their car. Karen was pronounced dead at the scene. Terrell was airlifted to Shoreline Hospital in serious condition.

Ganezle was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
