1 Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Old Jacksonville Hwy in Tyler

One Injured in Tyler Motorcycle Crash on Old Jacksonville Highway at Steele Way

Tyler, Texas (February 23, 2022) – One person was injured Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Tyler, according to the police.

The accident occurred on February 22, on Old Jacksonville Highway at Steele Way.

Police said a motorcycle was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it collided with a 4-door sedan that turned out of a private drive.

The motorcyclist was taken to T Health in Tyler with major but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed both the northbound and southbound lanes of Old Jacksonville Hwy. Traffic was reduced to one lane of travel between Rice Road and Grande Boulevard for about two hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
