Sebastian Leith Killed in Beaumont Two-Vehicle Crash on Phelan Boulevard

Beaumont, Texas (August 13, 2023) – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Beaumont, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:46 a.m., August 12, in the 4700 block of Phelan Boulevard near Calder Avenue.

Police said Sebastian C. Leith, 39, of Beaumont, was driving a 2016 Acura MDX westbound when his car was struck by a gold SUV that was making a left turn onto Calder Avenue.

The Acura flipped several times, ejecting Leith. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver fled the scene after the crash, and the police are looking for them. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234.
