1 Killed in Chain-Reaction Crash on East Freeway in Houston

One Killed in Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on East Freeway near Dell Dale Street

Houston, Texas (August 21, 2021) – According to the Houston police, one person was killed in a chain-reaction crash Thursday night in Houston.

The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m., August 19, on the East Freeway (Interstate 10) near Dell Dale Street.

Police said two vehicles collided on the freeway and came to a stop. Another vehicle, an SUV, then ran into the previous crash.

The impact ejected the SUV driver from their vehicle, and they were killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released. They were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash.

A fourth vehicle also crashed into a freeway wall when the driver slammed on the brakes to avoid the previous crash.

The police are conducting the investigation.
