Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on FM 1960 Road West

Houston, Texas (January 9, 2023) – A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning in north Houston, authorities said.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, January 8 in the 1400 block of FM-1960 Road West.

According to the authorities, the man was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a pickup truck that was traveling westbound. The impact pushed the pedestrian into a nearby parking lot.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
