Joe Tatom Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6 in Robertson County

67-Year-Old Joe Tatom ID’d as Victim Killed in Robertson County Crash on Highway 6 near Lakeway Drive and Sadberry Road

Robertson County, Texas (June 13, 2022) – Authorities have identified the person who died following a collision between an SUV and a pickup truck Saturday night in Robertson County as Joe Tatom, 67, of Hilltop Lakes.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly crash happened at around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, June 11, on state Highway 6 near Lakeway Drive and Sadberry Road.

DPS said a 2005 Dodge pickup was trying to cross State Highway 6 to Sadberry Road when it was hit by an eastbound 2019 Ford SUV.

Tatom, who was a passenger in the Dodge, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge suffered major injuries and was airlifted to the CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan.

The driver and the passenger of the Ford were taken to the CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan with serious injuries.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation is underway.
