Heriberto ‘Eddie’ Santillana Killed in Tornillo Three-Vehicle Crash on Texas Highway 20 near Oil Mill
Tornillo, Texas (April 21, 2019) – A Fabens High School teacher was killed Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Tornillo, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened at about 2:00 p.m. April 20, in the 18800 block of Texas Highway 20 (Alameda) near Oil Mill.
Authorities said a Chrysler rear-ended a Dodge Ram pickup which was stopped to turn northbound onto Oil Mill. The impact caused the Chrysler to veer into oncoming traffic where it collided head-on with a silver Suzuki Forenza driven by Santillana.
Santillana was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
An investigation is ongoing.
