Ramiro De Los Santos Killed in Corpus Christi Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 37

Corpus Christi, Texas (October 20, 2019) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday night in Corpus Christi, according to the DPS.

The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. October 18, on I-37 near Labonte Park.

DPS said Ramiro De Los Santos, 35, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when a Chevy Cruze which traveling in front of him slowed down. Santos was unable to brake in time, and he hit the Chevy.

The impact ejected both Santos and his passenger. Santos was then struck by a Lexus which had been traveling behind them.

The passenger on the motorcycle landed on the trunk of the Chevy and held on until the car slowed to safety.

Santos was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
