Two Injured in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash at 51st Street and North Everglade Avenue

Odessa, Texas – Two people were injured Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash in Odessa, according to the police.

The crash happened around 3:14 p.m., March 17, at the intersection of 51st Street and North Everglade Avenue.

Police said a white Nissan Rogue, driven by a 53-year-old woman, was traveling northbound on Everglade and a blue Nissan Armada, driven by a 22-year-old man, was heading westbound on 51st Street.

The Armada ran a stop sign and collided with the Rogue.

The impact caused the Nissan Rogue to roll over onto its side.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Armada driver was cited for not wearing a seatbelt, driving with an invalid license, and running the stop sign.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
