Woman Hit by Construction Equipment, Seriously Injured at White Oak Drive and Houston Avenue in Houston

Woman Seriously Injured and Dog Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident at White Oak Drive and Houston Avenue

Houston, Texas – A woman was seriously injured and her dog was killed after being struck by construction equipment Wednesday morning north of Downtown Houston, according to the police.

The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m., February 7, at the intersection of White Oak Drive and Houston Avenue.

Police said the woman was walking her dog, and crossing the street when the driver of a skid steer hit her.

The driver then parked the piece of machinery, got into his vehicle, and took off. The driver was later pulled over and taken into custody on Interstate 45 and Main Street.

The woman was taken to the Memorial Herman Hospital with serious injuries. Her dog was killed in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
