34-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Galveston Road in Houston

Houston, Texas – A 34-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 2:05 a.m., in the 7200 block of Galveston Road.

Police said the man was standing in the roadway when the driver of a northbound white Lexus IS noticed him. The driver swerved to avoid the man but was unable to and hit him.

The Lexus driver, a 19-year-old man, remained at the scene and called 911. 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver was not impaired and was subsequently questioned and released.

The police are investigating the crash.
