Shirmett King Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Voss and San Felipe in Houston

Shirmett King ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Houston Crash at Voss and San Felipe
Houston, Texas (April 20, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was killed Monday evening in a traffic accident in Houston has been identified as Shirmett King, 33, according to authorities.
The deadly crash happened at about 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 15 in the area of Voss and San Felipe.
Police said King was splitting lanes when she hit two vehicles near Westheimer and Voss and then fled the scene. The drivers of both cars pulled into the parking to check damages when the drivers saw King drive past them.
One of the motorist, identified as Julivan Do Tran told investigators she began following King. During the chase, King slowed down, and Tran stopped and attempted to flag her down, but she refused to stop and drove around the car.
Tran followed the motorcycle behind a nearby Kroger store, where King lost control of her motorcycle and crashed. Tran then ran over King with her Sedan.
King was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Tran stopped at the scene and complied with investigators. He was charged with manslaughter.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
