A woman in the backseat of the Nissan was taken to a local hospital, where she died

Houston, TX. – One person was killed in a collision that left several other people injured on Sunday night in Houston.
According to the police, the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cork Drive and Claygate Drive.
A Nissan was traveling south on Claygate when it failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign and struck a Jeep that was traveling west on Cork.
A 71-year-old woman in the backseat of the Nissan was taken to a local hospital, where she died while receiving treatment.
Four other occupants of the Nissan, including three young kids aged 3 to 5 years old, were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
