Cyclist Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run near Ayers and Gollihar in Corpus Christi; Adrian Perez Arrested

Corpus Christi, Texas – A cyclist was critically injured Thursday morning after being struck by an intoxicated driver in Corpus Christi, according to a local news source.

The accident happened just after 3:30 a.m., near the intersection of Ayers and Gollihar.

According to the report, a red truck hit a 34-year-old man who was riding a bicycle.

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the red truck, Adrian Perez, left the scene after the accident. He was found just a few blocks away from the scene. He was arrested for Intoxication Assault and an out-of-county warrant for a probation violation and was transported to the city detention Center for booking.

The police are investigating the crash.
