Man Hit, Critically Injured by ATC-EMS Vehicle on East Cesar Chavez Street in Austin

Man Critically Injured in Austin Pedestrian Accident on East Cesar Chavez Street

Austin, Texas (June 3, 2020) – A man was critically injured Tuesday night after being struck by an Austin-Travis County EMS vehicle in east Austin, according to a local news source.

The accident took place around 11:00 p.m. on June 2, in the 1500 block of East Cesar Chavez Street between Navasota and Comal Streets.

Police said an ATC-EMS vehicle was responding to a call when it hit the man on the street. It wasn’t an ambulance that hit the man.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The APD is investigating the crash.
