1 Injured in Amarillo Motorcycle Accident at SE 26th Avenue and Interstate 27
Amarillo, TX. - A motorcyclist was injured in a collision involving a semi-truck on Friday afternoon in Amarillo.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, the accident happened near SE 26th Avenue and the Interstate 27 frontage road around 12:10 p.m.
A motorcycle was traveling westbound on 26th Street when it reportedly ran a light at the intersection and struck a semi-truck traveling southbound on the Interstate 27 frontage road.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
More details on the accident were not available.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the collision.
