1 Injured in Collinsville Car Accident at US 377 and County Line Church Road
Collinsville, TX. - A woman was injured in a collision involving a train that had derailed on Sunday morning in Collinsville.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred near the intersection of US 377 and County Line Church Road at around 5:30 a.m.
The woman was driving a passenger vehicle southbound when she struck a freight train that had derailed and obstructed both the northbound and southbound lanes of US-377. The train had 115 cars, of which 23 were derailed.
The woman was taken to the local hospital with serious injuries.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately provided.
