1 Injured in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident on U.S. Highway 281

San Antonio, TX. - A 36-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon in San Antonio.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 281 near Evans Road at around 2:35 p.m.

A vehicle driven by a 50-year-old man merged into a lane and struck a motorcyclist.

Medics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The 50-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

It was not immediately clear whether speed or impairment was a factor.

SAPD is investigating the crash.
