1 Killed in Amarillo Crash on S Georgia Street at Southwest 15th Avenue
Amarillo, TX. – One person died after a driver ran a red light causing a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday in Amarillo.
The accident occurred in the 1200 block of South Georgia Street at Southwest 15th Avenue at around 1:05 a.m., according to the Amarillo Police Department.
A passenger car was traveling northbound on South Georgia Street when it ran a red light at the intersection and struck an SUV and a pickup truck that were traveling westbound through the intersection. The car continued northbound and struck another pickup truck before it came to a stop.
A passenger in the car succumbed to injuries at the scene.
