1 Killed in Amarillo Motorcycle Crash on Hughes Street near SW 1st Avenue
Amarillo, TX. - A 31-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Monday night in Amarillo.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, the accident happened on Hughes Street near Southwest 1st Avenue.
Two motorcycles were traveling northbound on Hughes Street when one motorcycle, driven by a 31-year-old man, lost control and collided head-on with an SUV.
The second motorcyclist also lost crashed while trying avoiding the SUV.
The 31-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second rider was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities did not provide further details about the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
