1 Killed in Amarillo Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 40 near Arnot Road

Amarillo, TX. - A motorcyclist was killed in a collision that left two other people injured on Wednesday in Amarillo.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, the fatal accident happened on the Interstate 40 frontage road near Arnot Road.

A motorcycle was traveling westbound on the I-40 frontage road when it failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a car attempting to enter eastbound Interstate 40.

Paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed.

Two car occupants of the car sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

More details on the accident were not available.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
