1 Killed in Austin Crash on State Highway 71 near State Highway 29

Austin, TX. – One person was killed in a two-car accident near Llano in Austin on Friday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on State Highway 71 near State Highway 29 at around 2:35 p.m.

A Ford F-350 was traveling east when it crossed into the westbound lanes and collided with a box truck.

The driver of the F-350 was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the box truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

More details on the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
