Austin, TX. - A person riding a scooter died in a crash on Tuesday night in Austin.

The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Oak Springs Drive at around 9:30 p.m., according to the Austin Police Department.

A scooter rider was struck by a car in unclear circumstances.

The scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics.

The name of the deceased person was not disclosed.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
