1 Killed in Cherokee County Crash on FM 2138

Cherokee County, TX. - A driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday night in Cherokee County.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred on FM 2138 near CR 3141.

A vehicle was heading southbound on FM 2138 and was attempting to make a U-turn when it collided with a northbound vehicle.

The northbound vehicle spun out and stopped in the roadway while the southbound car ended up in the ditch.

Paramedics pronounced one driver dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

The second driver was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

More details on the accident were not available.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
