1 Killed in Harlingen Car Crash at FM 511 and State Highway 48
Harlingen, TX. - A woman was killed in a car crash involving a wrong-way driver on Wednesday morning in Harlingen.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at FM 511 and State Highway 48 at around 8:52 a.m.
A man was driving a 2007 Silver Toyota Scion southbound in the northbound lanes when he collided head-on with an oncoming 2020 Kenworth tow truck.
A passenger in the Toyota Scion was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota Scion was transported to Valley Baptist Hospital with unknown injuries.
More information on the crash was not disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
