1 Killed in Houston Car Crash on I-10 near Freeport Street

Harris County, TX. - A man was killed in a crash involving four vehicles on Friday evening in Houston.

The fatal collision occurred in the 13700 block of I-10 (East Freeway) near Freeport Street at around 6:07 p.m. according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A Honda, a Hyundai, and a BMW were traveling westbound when they all collided in unclear circumstances. The Hyundai rotated and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer parked on the outside shoulder while the Honda overturned and came to rest on the service road.

A rear passenger of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and another passenger of the Hyundai were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police do not suspect impairment was a factor in the accident.

More details about the deadly crash were not released.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
