1 Killed in Harris County Crash on Old Humble Road near Sam Houston Tollway

Harris County, TX. - A woman died in a high-speed crash on Sunday morning in Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred in the 14700 block of Old Humble Road near the Sam Houston Tollway at around 1:20 a.m.

The woman was driving a vehicle southbound at a high rate of speed when she veered into the oncoming lane of travel and collided with a pickup traveling northbound.

The car spun out before coming to rest in the roadway.

The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her identity was not disclosed by the authorities.

The occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.

Additional details concerning the crash were not provided.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
