1 Killed in Harris County Pedestrian Accident at Highway 249 and Old Bammel N Houston Rd.

Harris County, TX. – A woman died after being struck by a car on Thursday night in Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 249 and Old Bammel North Houston Road at around 10:30 p.m.

The woman was running eastbound across the road when she was struck by a Cadillac sedan traveling southbound on Highway 249.

The driver of the sedan left the scene but returned.

The woman was taken to hospital where she later died.

The driver of the sedan showed no sign of intoxication.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
