1 Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Eastex Freeway near Hamblen Road

Houston, TX. - A woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday night in Houston.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred along the Eastex Freeway feeder road and Hamblen Road at 9 p.m.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle exiting the freeway's main lanes to reach the frontage road.

The unidentified woman succumbed to her injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The driver showed no signs of intoxication after evaluation.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
