1 Killed in Jefferson County Pedestrian Accident on I-10 West

Jefferson County, TX. - A 45-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday night in Jefferson County.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened on Interstate 10 West at around 11:45 p.m.

The woman was walking on I-45 W when she was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.

Medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

More details about the accident were not disclosed.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
