1 Killed in Kountze Car Crash on Highway 69
Kountze, TX. - One person was killed in a head-on collision on Friday morning in Kountze.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Highway 69 near 91st Street at around 5:30 p.m.
A pickup truck traveling northbound crossed the center turn lane into the southbound lane and collided head-on with another pickup truck.
The driver of the northbound pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the crash were not provided.
The Kountze Police Department is investigating the crash.
