1 Killed in San Antonio Crash at Roosevelt Avenue and Loop 410
San Antonio, TX. – A man was killed in a suspected DUI crash on Friday night in San Antonio.
The fatal crash occurred in the 5200 block of Roosevelt Avenue near Loop 410 at around 8:30 p.m. according to the San Antonio Police Department.
A vehicle was traveling southbound on Roosevelt Avenue when it attempted to avoid a wrong-way driver who was driving northbound in the southbound lanes. Both drivers tried to avoid each other but switched to the same lane and collided.
The wrong-way driver, who showed signs of intoxication, was rushed to the hospital where he died several hours later.
More details on the accident were not available.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
