1 Killed in Smith County Crash on I-20 near Mile Marker 552

Smith County, TX. - One person was killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday in Smith County.

According to the Smith County Sheriff's Office, the fatal accident happened on I-20 near mile marker 552.

Two 18-wheelers and a passenger vehicle were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.

Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene.

One person sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

More information on the crash was not immediately available.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
