1 Killed in Throckmorton Crash on US 183
Throckmorton, TX. - A woman was killed in a car crash on Friday afternoon in Throckmorton.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on US 183 at around 12:50 p.m.
The woman was driving a 2006 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck northbound on U.S. 183 when she entered the southbound lane in a no-passing zone and collided with an oncoming 2024 Mack MD truck.
The woman was taken to Throckmorton Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Mack truck was not injured.
The Throckmorton Police Department is investigating the accident.
