1 Killed in Victoria Collision at Sam Houston Drive and Lilac Lane
Victoria, TX. - An SUV driver was killed in a suspected DWI crash on Tuesday evening in Victoria.
The fatal crash occurred in the 3800 block of Sam Houston Drive and Lilac Lane at around 7 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A truck struck an SUV with the impact causing the SUV to strike a utility pole.
The truck then veered into oncoming traffic and struck another truck before it came to a stop in a private driveway.
One person was killed in the accident.
Two occupants of the SUV sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The driver of the first truck was arrested on intoxication-related charges and booked into Victoria County Jail.
The Victoria Police Department is investigating the accident.
