1 Killed in Wise County Motorcycle Accident at FM 920 and County Road 3407
Wise County, TX. - 59-year-old Chico man died in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning near Bridgeport in Wise County.
The fatal collision occurred at FM 920 and County Road 3407 at around 7:19 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Carolyn Malone was traveling on CR 3407 when it failed to yield the right of way while turning onto FM 920 and struck a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Michael Young.
Young was taken to Medical City Decatur, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A 17-year-old motorcycle passenger was taken to a hospital in Bridgeport, before being airlifted to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital.
Malone sustained serious injuries and was transported to Medical City Decatur.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
