1 Killed in Zapata County Pedestrian Accident on U.S. Highway 83 near North Siesta Lane
Zapata County, TX. - A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Zapata County.
The fatal accident occurred on U.S. Highway 83 near North Siesta Lane, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Three people were attempting to cross the roadway when one of them was struck by a car.
The pedestrian was critically injured and was transported to Laredo Medical Center where they later died.
The deceased pedestrian was not immediately identified.
More details on the accident were not provided.
The Zapata County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
