2 Injured in Itasca Crash Involving Train at SH 81 and FM Road 67
Itasca, TX. - Two people were injured in a crash involving a FedEx truck and train on Thursday afternoon in Itasca, Hill County.
According to the Hill County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at a railroad crossing at the intersection of State Highway 81 and FM Road 67.
A FedEx truck was struck by a Union Pacific train at the crossing, pushing the truck down the tracks.
The driver and the passenger of the FedEx truck were injured. One person was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
A firefighter suffered a heat-related illness and was treated by at the scene.
More information on the collision was not released.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
