2 Killed in Comanche County Crash on SH 36 near FM 1476
Comanche County, TX. - Rickey Mariott and Bernadine Mariott, both 75, were killed in a head-on collision on Friday morning in Comanche County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred on State Highway 36 near FM 1476 at around 11:40 a.m.
Adam Guerra Jr., 26, was driving a 2020 GMC 2500 pickup truck southbound in the northbound lane when he attempted to pass a line of vehicles in a no-passing zone and collided head-on with an oncoming 2020 Kia Sorento driven by Rickey Mariott.
The driver of the Kia and passenger Bernadine succumbed to their serious injuries at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Comanche County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
