2 Killed in Corpus Christi Car Accident on State Highway 361 near Beach Access Road 3
Corpus Christi, TX. - A 55-year-old man and 46-year-old woman were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon in Corpus Christi.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened in the 8100 block of State Highway 361 near Beach Access Road 3 at around 3:40 p.m.
A vehicle was traveling southbound when it rear-ended another vehicle, pushing it into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with another vehicle.
A fourth vehicle heading northbound also struck the third vehicle.
A 55-year-old male driver and a 46-year-old female passenger succumbed to their injuries.
Two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the accident.
The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating the accident.
