2 Killed in Harlingen Crash on Texan Road and Freedom Avenue
Harlingen, TX. – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Friday night in Harlingen.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred on Texan Road south of Freedom Avenue at around 9:26 p.m.
A blue Ford Fusion was traveling southbound on Texan Road when it collided head-on with a silver Chevrolet Malibu traveling northbound in the southbound lanes.
The driver of the Ford Fusion and the male passenger of the Malibu was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Malibu and the male passenger of the Ford Fusion were transported to South Texas Health System McAllen in critical condition.
More details about the collision were not released.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
