2 Killed in Lubbock County Crash at FM 1585 and CR 1100

Lubbock County, TX. - Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Lubbock County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at the intersection of FM 1585 and CR 1100 at around 11:34 a.m.

An SUV was traveling eastbound on FM 1585 when it drifted into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a pickup truck that was traveling westbound.

The driver of the SUV and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another passenger of the SUV was taken to UMC with serious injuries for treatment.

The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Lubbock Police Department is investigating the crash.
