2 Killed in Smith County Crash on Mixon Road
Smith County, TX. – Two people were killed after a head-on collision on Friday night in Smith County.
The fatal collision occurred on Mixon Road at around 6:30 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A 2018 Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on Mixon when it crossed into the southbound lane of travel and collided head-on with an oncoming Mercedes-Benz.
A female passenger of the Toyota succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
